Goal: Players will learn how to DRIBBLE in space using the outside of their feet. As they progress through their learning and activities, players will learn how to manipulate the movement of the ball to ensure they do not lose control of the ball. This will result in improved ability to take on defenders in 1v1 scenarios. The lesson activities below will assist players in gaining confidence with their abilities.
Red Light, Green Light - Each Player will start on the touchline with a ball. Green light means the player will take close touches with the ball and try to advance to the other touch line. When the Coach says Red Light, the player and ball must stop moving. If caught moving, the player must start over from the touch line.
Players are all given a ball and a confined space. Players must dribble into open space, taking small touches on the ball to keep the ball close within their control. Coach will be the defender of the ball, putting pressure on the possessing players. The goal is to press the possessing players to force the players to find space away from the defender (Coach).

Set teams using pinnies and two goals. Use players to rotate teams to ensure balanced play. Encourage players to DRIBBLE to find space or beat a defender.
Players should feel confident dribbling the ball and taking on a defender.
